Steamboat Springs is a beautiful mountain town situated on the western slope of Colorado, and if we’re being honest, it’s my absolute favorite mountain town, period. So, you know that when I got the email about photographing Elise and Grant’s big day at Flying Diamond Ranch, I had the biggest smile on my face.

Grant and Elise’s day had some of the coolest details of any wedding I have been to. Her sister painted the champagne bottles, they tossed flower petals walking back down the aisle, the vintage car provided by the venue was to die for, and they had a killer live band that kept the part going ALL night. That being said, the arbor was simple and let the background of the ranch do most of the work.Their first look was filled with so much love (and a bit of laughter before Elise arrived when we told Grant to “frolic through a field”). The ceremony was flawless as well and you could tell the lovely couple was surrounded by so much love.

The highlights of the reception included the dances, speeches, and all of the emotions. My favorite part by far, was the sunset photos down by the lake. We stuffed the bride and groom one the little boat they have down there and managed to get some of the BEST sunset photos of all time.
